Remote E-collar Training

The remote collar of today is a modern piece of electronic equipment that can be used to develop, change and modify a dog's behavior. The stimulation means "attention"! With its instantaneous means of techniques for basic, intermediate, advanced and specialty training.

Remote Collar training can be accomplished through private lessons followed by joining the Remote Collar group class and is recommended for any dog including easy and difficult to train dogs with or without problem behaviors. Focus is on attention to handler, basic obedience exercises and off-leash control. Lessons are provided by a Certified Tri-Tronics Remote Collar Instructor.

1. Proper Fitting of Collar
2. Basic Operation of Transmitter and Receiver
3. Establish correct training level stimulation per dog
4. Basic concept of Positive and Negative reinforcement

Remote Collar Classes

Pre-requisite: Instructor approval upon completion of private remote collar lessons

This training course begins with scent discrimination activities, hunting fundamentals and basic search and rescue techniques. Training continues on to intermediate and advanced levels of Wilderness Air Scent, Wilderness and Urban Training, Human Remains Detection as well as hands-on experience in team radio communication, GPS and compass training, map orienteering and basic survival skills.
